Postdoctoral Fellow
PhD in Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology, Rosalind Franklin University
BS in Biology, DePaul University
Max Loh is a postdoctoral fellow under the UIC’s Diabetes Research Training Program. Loh received her BS in Biology (DePaul University) and her PhD in Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology with Dr. J. Amiel Rosenkranz (Rosalind Franklin University). During her PhD, she studied the development of the medial orbitofrontal cortex on reward-related circuits. Her current research seeks to elucidate the neural mechanisms underlying conditioned taste aversion, where negative post-ingestive experiences shift food-reward value, and the impact of diabetes/obesity therapeutics on reward pathways.
