Mack Kroll
PhD Student
BA in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience, University of Michigan
Mack Kroll is a PhD student working with Dr. Mitch Roitman to better understand the neurobiology underlying motivated behaviors. He completed undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, where he primarily worked on manipulating reward circuitry under Dr. Kent Berridge. His research interests concern the role of dopamine within the mesocorticolimbic system and how physiological states regulate its signaling. Broadly, he is fascinated by how our reward systems fall into dysregulation and what factors make us susceptible to "unnatural" cravings.
